1. Light and stable force:
The loading force is about 20% lower, the unloading force is stable, the lag is small, the pain is low, and the efficiency of tooth movement is high.
2. Heat activated memory:
divided into three phase transition temperatures (Af):
• 27 ℃: Super elastic type, active at room temperature, easy to enter the tank, and gentle in strength.
• 35 ℃: body temperature activated type, sustained light force in the mouth, most commonly used clinically.
• 40 ℃: High fever activation, triggered above body temperature, suitable for sensitive patients.
3. Low friction+deformation resistance:
smoother surface and lower sliding resistance; Not easily deformed permanently, with a long wire replacement cycle.
4. High elasticity+low stiffness:
With a wide range of deformation and good rebound, it is suitable for severe crowding/initial twisting alignment.
Clinical Application
Key points for use
• Wire selection sequence: 0.014 CuNiTi → 0.016 CuNiTi → 0.018 CuNiTi → stainless steel round wire → stainless steel square wire.
• Temperature selection: 35 ℃ is commonly used; Sensitive/for children at 40 ℃; Severe crowding at 27 ℃.
Disinfection: disposable, ethylene oxide sterilization; Do not use high-pressure steam (which destroys memory).
Taboo: Nickel allergy sufferers should use with caution; Stainless steel wire needs to be replaced for torque/root control in the later stage.
