Clinical Use of NiTi H-File
The NiTi H-file is generally not used as an initial patency instrument. Instead, it is indicated for mid-coronal straightening, final shaping, and final cleaning of curved apical segments.
Insert the H-file to a position approximately 2–3 mm short of the working length. Perform a passive pull motion — gently advance the file until resistance is felt, then withdraw 1 mm, followed by a light upward cutting stroke. Repeat this process for 3–5 pull strokes, then withdraw the file and irrigate/brush clean.
