Specification
and Model
• According
to the diameter semicolons: 0 #, 1 #, 2 #..., the larger the number, the
thicker the diameter, suitable for different thicknesses of root canals.
• Divided
by handle type: there are two types: with plastic handle (for hand use) and
without handle (to be installed on a dedicated handle). The most commonly used
handle type in clinical practice is for easy handheld operation.
Product Description
Barbed Broach, also known as inverted hook
needle or nerve needle, is a core instrument specifically used for extracting
dental pulp tissue in root canal therapy. Its main function is to remove infected tissue from teeth,
remove bacteria from pulp and root canal, in order to treat tooth infections or
pain. Pulping needles are usually made of stainless steel. The core of a pulp
extraction needle is to use a hook to achieve the function of "hooking
and pulling out the pulp".There are 7 models of bone marrow extraction
needles, which are represented by purple, white, yellow, red,
blue, green, and black in order of size 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, with lengths
of 21 and 25.
Core purpose
1. Extraction of dental pulp tissue: After
root canal treatment, it is used to remove the dental pulp (dental nerve)
inside the root canal, especially fresh and non necrotic dental pulp tissue. It
can also clean infected and suppurative dental pulp.
2. Assist in cleaning the root canal: Remove
any remaining cotton, paper, or debris from the root canal to assist in
cleaning the root canal cavity.
Structure
and Characteristics
Material: Made of medical grade stainless steel, it has strong corrosion resistance and
can be repeatedly disinfected under high temperature and pressure. Its rigidity
is moderate and not easy to break.
Working
end: The surface of the needle body is designed with inverted hooks/spikes,
which can hook the dental pulp tissue and wrap it around the needle body by
rotation, completely removing the root canal.
Usage
and precautions
1. First,
determine the length of the root canal based on the X-ray film and select the
appropriate type of intramedullary nail.
2. Insert
the needle into the root canal at a depth of about 2/3, slowly rotate it to
wrap the pulp tissue around the hook, and then pull it out at a constant speed
to bring out the complete pulp.
Key precautions:
1. Violent
operation is strictly prohibited to prevent instruments from breaking inside
the root canal.
2. If the
dental pulp has necrotic and decomposed, the cleaning effect of the pulp removal
needle is limited, and it needs to be treated with instruments such as root
canal files.
3. Different
root canal thicknesses need to be matched with corresponding models. Thicker
ones can easily cause needle jamming, while thinner ones cannot effectively hook
the dental pulp.
