Mainly
used for repairing and fixing large-area dental defects after root canal
treatment:
Provide mechanical fixation:
Implant into the prepared root canal to provide stable
mechanical fit for resin core and post core crown restorations, preventing the
replacement material or crown from falling off.
Enhancing dental resistance:
dispersing chewing stress, reducing the risk of fracture of
remaining weak dental tissues, and prolonging the service life of affected
teeth.
Suitable for residual root and crown restoration:
When most of the crown is missing and
only the root remains, it serves as the foundation of the post core to support
subsequent crown restoration and restore the shape and function of the tooth.
Design:
1. The shaft has self tapping threads that can be directly screwed into the
prepared root canal wall, providing strong mechanical retention.
2. The
tip is designed with a conical/rounded blunt shape, which guides the placement
while reducing the risk of lateral penetration of the root canal wall.
3. The
head is equipped with a card slot/square head structure, suitable for
specialized screwdrivers, making it convenient for clinical screw in
operations.
Specification:
Divided into multiple models based on diameter (such as 1 # -6 #), suitable for
different thicknesses of root canals, meeting the different restoration needs
of anterior and posterior teeth.
1. After
the completion of root canal treatment, the length of the root canal is
determined based on the X-ray film, and a specialized drilling tool is used to
prepare the post passage.
2. Select
the appropriate type of root canal nail, screw it into the root canal, and
reserve a portion of the stem outside the root canal for subsequent resin
nucleation.
3. When
screwing in, the force and depth should be controlled to avoid excessive force
causing the root canal wall to split or the instrument to break.
4. After
the fixation nail is in place, it can be further strengthened with resin or
adhesive to bond with the dental tissue.
